At Parents Supporting Educational Excellence (PSEE), we believe it’s never too early to show students what’s possible. That’s the driving force behind our upcoming STEM-Law Exploration Day—a hands-on learning experience designed to open young minds to careers in science, technology, and law.
Taking place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Oxon Hill Public Library, this one-day event will introduce students in grades 2 through 6 to the exciting intersections of innovation and justice. From interactive experiments to career chats with professionals, it’s a day full of inspiration, creativity, and possibility.
What to Expect:
Students will rotate through engaging stations that include:
- STEM-Law challenges that encourage teamwork and critical thinking
- Cyber safety workshops teaching kids how to stay safe online
- Hands-on science and legal projects that bring learning to life
- Meet-and-greet sessions with real-world experts in law and technology
But this day is more than fun activities—it’s about planting seeds. Seeds of confidence. Seeds of curiosity. Seeds of self-belief.
When young learners are introduced to careers early, they’re more likely to envision themselves in those roles later. That’s why PSEE is committed to expanding access to meaningful, real-world learning experiences—especially in communities where these opportunities are too often out of reach.
Why It Matters:
Many students rule out certain careers simply because they’ve never seen someone who looks like them in that role. STEM-Law Exploration Day changes that narrative. It shows them they belong.
This event is part of our broader mission to support K–12 students by providing school supplies, books, tutoring, digital access, and exposure to high-impact careers. Over the years, PSEE has:
- Transformed school libraries into inspiring interactive spaces
- Taken students on college tours
- Partnered with companies to provide career exploration field trips
- Provided laptops to help close the digital divide
