Pega Scholars Program
The Pega Scholars Program is a global scholarship program, offered by Pegasystems, aimed at supporting future technologists in their pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Technology. It focuses on promoting equity and access to technology education, with a particular emphasis on underrepresented groups. The Pega Scholars Program is open to high school/secondary school seniors who graduate this school year or current college undergraduates residing in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Singapore, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, or the United States. Applicants must also belong to one or more of the following groups: women, LGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities, military veterans, and any ethnic or racial minority group.

Frontline Families Scholarship Program
The Frontline Families Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Michael Osterholm, world-renowned epidemiologist, to provide educational assistance to the surviving family members of frontline healthcare workers and volunteers who lost their lives in the fight against COVID-19. Because of the inequitable impact of COVID-19, priority will be given to families who are historically underserved and those who have demonstrated financial need. Wells Fargo is strongly invested in supporting our nation’s veterans, including a commitment to assist them in completing postsecondary education programs to help them return to, and succeed in, a competitive job market. The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program provides scholarships to fill unmet financial need of veterans after military benefits and other grants and scholarships have been packaged by their school. Free Tuition Available for College for Residents Who Live with 6 Miles of MGM and Who Attend Community College
Prince George’s Community College and Council member Edward Burroughs III have announced a new Impact Grant program for the 2023-2024 academic year. Eligible students can receive partial or full-time scholarship awards to cover tuition and mandatory fee expenses for credit and continuing education courses, certifications, workforce development, and senior adult programming.
“I was met with some resistance from the development council but ultimately was able to build consensus,” Burroughs said. “We started out with $1 million and [were] just able to double that, so we’re changing hearts and minds about how to maximize the fund.”
PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md.
A new program in Prince George’s County means at least 1,000 students won’t have to pay for their college education.
Councilmember Edward Burroughs introduced the program that would provide $1 million for Prince George’s County Community College students to attend school. The program is made possible through a partnership with Prince George’s County Community College and will be available to those living in specific parts of the county.
