David Patrick Haden, Sr.

Educational Excellence

David Patrick Haden, Sr. is the founder and CEO of Parents Supporting Educational Excellence, an organization designed to support schools and underrepresented students in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and provide them with equal access to educational opportunities and resources. In addition, David provides management, marketing, and programming oversight of the Corporate Counsel Men of Color Career Strategies Conferences. He is licensed to practice real estate in Maryland, enjoys real estate investing, and is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. Before his career in real estate, David spent several years working as a counselor at various hospitals, where he helped mentally ill and at-risk individuals. David received his master’s degree in theology from Bethel Seminary and his Bachelor of Arts and his associate’s degrees in Theology from Richmond Seminary. David lives in Maryland with his wife Laurie Robinson Haden and son David Patrick Haden II.

Laurie Robinson Haden

Parents Supporting Educational Excellence

Laurie Robinson Haden is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Parents Supporting Educational Excellence. In addition, Robinson Haden is the President and CEO of Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC). In 2004, Laurie founded CCWC to advance women of color attorneys and foster diversity in the legal profession. She formerly worked for 18 years in multiple leadership roles at the CBS Corporation (now media and entertainment juggernaut Paramount+), including Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Litigation. She has been recognized by Savoy magazine as one of the country’s “Most Influential Black Lawyers.” For seven years, she was a member of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund board. She now serves on the Board of Visitors of Indiana University Maurer School of Law at Bloomington and North Carolina Central School of Law, where she served as chair (2022-2023) and is on the Compensation Committee of the National Sales Network. Laurie earned her Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina Central University (magna cum laude) and her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law at Bloomington.
